Rick Ross has brushed off 50 Cent's response to "Mafia Music" and has given the G-Unit boss 48 hours to release another diss track.

Ross took shots at 50 Cent on "Mafia Music" by poking fun at the G-Unit honcho's legal battles with his former girlfriend.

50 responded to Ross yesterday (January 29) with a track titled "Officer Ricky (Go 'Head, Try Me)" and attacked the Miami rapper's past as a correctional officer. [Listen to "Officer Ricky”]

Ross dismissed 50's diss during an interview with Shade 45 today morning (January 30).

"We all gonna act like we didn't hear that," Ross said. "We gonna give him 48 hours. Time to come up with another one!"

In related news, Ross' signature shoe which was set to be released by sneaker company Pony has been cancelled. Sneaker blog Soleblvd reports that Pony backed away from releasing the shoe because of Ross' past as a correctional officer.

"Sources close to the brand say that they want to steer clear of the whole cop controversy, and didn’t want to have to face the whole usual “eff the pigs” type backlash," the sneaker blog reported.

Rick Ross is having a tough Friday. Not only did Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson unleash a verbal assault on the hefty cop-turned-rapper, but we’ve exclusively heard that Pony has cancelled his first signature shoe.

The sneaker was supposed to drop in three different colorways, but Pony has halted production due to Ross’s shady past, as a Correctional Officer. Sources close to the brand say that they want to steer clear of the whole cop controversy, and didn’t want to have to face the whole usual “eff the pigs” type backlash . after hearing that shade45 interview i'm now 100% sure this shit is all fabricated, that interview was definitely pre-planned, pretty obvious if you listen to it. in a way i kind of have to respect wayne for not beefing with 50, he doesn't need any of this fake beef shit and publicity to sell
