| INTERSCOPE SABATOGE?? T.O.S. TRENDING ONLY 100,000 UNITS The anticipated new G-Unit album is projected to sell only 100,000 copies in its first week in the US.
According to reports, G-Unit´s label Interscope did not ship adequate copies of CD’s to retailers and now early sales of G-Unit’s album are looking very disappointing.
The title of the album was originally announced to be “Shoot To Kill” and then changed to “Lock & Load”, with the final name being “Terminate On Sight”.
In another interview with MTV, 50 Cent talked about the album. “It's like a spinoff - the sequel to Beg For Mercy. It was a statement towards the competition, towards other artists. Terminate O Sight is the version where you get more aggressive. This record embodies that. I kinda know where I need to go, because I tested the waters with the material I put out. I get to tell with the response to certain records where I need to be and chill out from other stuff.”

Sabatoged? What can the label do? Go make people buy the album? Face it, the singles were garbage, and the album is nowhere close to Beg for Mercy (which was a banger from start to finish). It ain't got nothing to do with anything but the music being subpar, point blank.
And you can say the same thing about Curtis cuz that shit was garbage compared to his first 2, especially GRODT. 50 just needs to come out and admit that the music he been dropping since like 2005 has been average at best, and hasn't kept the attention of anyone besides hardcore G-Unit stans.
But what are we gonna hear? It's Jimmy Iovine's fault, Interscopes fault, maybe Banks and Yayo's fault, but nothing 50 did has any impact on the sales whatsoever. And corny ass mafuckas like you are gonna believe it and gossip on message boards as if you know whether or not that's even true (which you don't). Shit ain't a fact, they probably had more than enough but ain't no one trying to buy that shit at this point.
And WTF would you do with Busta? The Big Bang was a disaster, and he has a CD supposed to drop next month that would probably sell less than TOS at this point. Busta probably probably wouldn't even recoup and that would be 2 albums in a row where he left them in a hole. |
