| 50 cent Kanye West to Debate... the fuck? 50 Cent and Kanye West are set to go head-to-head for glory on the Billboard charts on September 11, the day both artists' albums are set to hit store shelves -- West's Graduation and 50's Curtis.
Since the announcement of their release, fans of both rappers have debated heavily online as to who would sell more and which would have the better album on the day of the release.
Well, during a recent appearance on BET's "106 & Park," 50 Cent said he'd like to debate Kanye West on live TV, accepting a challenge offered from hosts Terrance J. and Rocsi to engage the rapper in a presidential style "debate" to decide who has the best album.
"I accept the challenge," 50 Cent BET viewers on Friday (August 3). "Kanye, he's not going to want to show up. Just don't be asking me if I am a conscious rapper. I know exactly what I am saying -- so I am conscious."
While 50 Cent claimed that Def Jam would cave in and move Kanye's release date, Jay-Z has since dismissed the notion, welcoming the competition.
Popular gambling website, Bodog.com, recently began taking bets on which artist will sell more during the first week, if the albums' release dates remained on September 11.
The new album's will be each artist's third. 50 Cent's sophomore album, The Massacre, moved 1 million copies during its first week in stores, while West's sophomore release, Late Registration, moved 860,000 copies during its first week in stores.
