| IF U TRUE HIP-HOP, COME PEEP THIS forreal, Is Hip-Hop To Blame For The Death of Sean Taylor? “Until we recapture the minds of black youth, convince them that it’s not OK to “super man dat ho” and end any and every dispute by “cocking on your bitch,” nothing will change. Does a Soulja Boy want an education? The “keepin’ it real” mantra of hip hop is in direct defiance to evolution. There’s always someone ready to tell you you’re selling out if you move away from the immature and dangerous activities you used to do, you’re selling out if you speak proper English, embrace education, dress like a grown man, do anything mainstream.” Full Article This is an excerpt from an article written by FoxSports columnist, Jason Whitlock. In the article Whitlock ties hip-hop into the recent death of pro-football player Sean Taylor and compares black on black crime to the KKK, calling it the Black KKK. I’ve never been a fan of Whitlock and this article doesn’t suggest other wise. Read the article and let’s discuss. Source: Real Talk NY » Is Hip-Hop To Blame For The Death of Sean Taylor |

| I don't know if he is exactly blaming hip hop for the direct death of Taylor more of that fact that hip-hip culture, and not every rapper in hip-hop, does help to promote the no snitching, being a thug and gangster, slappin a bitch whenever you want and doin whatever the fuck you wanna do whenever. I think it is hitting on the fact that with kids and young adults in todays society you do get more props for tryin to be gangsta, sellin dope, makin fast money, robbin someone, beatin the shit outta people makes you cool and somehow getting an education and going to college makes you a sellout, or less black or whatever race you are, it like you are soft just cause you want to learn and make somethin better of yourself when actually that is the hardest thing to do in your life. It easy to be a fuck up and go to jail and commit crimes, keepin it real is makin something of your life and not bein like every two bit criminal and dumbass on the street, black, white, mexican or whatever race they may be.
