A man reportedly died while attempting to rob the house of Texas based rapper J. Kapone yesterday (August 9).

According to local NBC network, KXAN news, the unidentified man and 2-3 suspects forced their way through the front door of the rapper's home in Northeast Austin. During the commotion, one person in the house was shot through the arm before the suspects fled.

Police caught up with the unidentified man in a yard a couple doors down. He was bleeding from the head after a struggle in the home. He collapsed and died on the scene.

Kapone's neighbor, Bridgette Banfield told KXAN, that the rapper's home had a recording studio which was frequently visited.

"We see a lot of cars coming and going, but they're basically there for recording," Banfield said.

Police are currently searching for the remaining two to three suspects.
